What and Why of Agile Developement..
Many Organizations have adopted AGILE Completely and some have adopted few traces of it but by now most of them have got flavour of AGILE .Do you want to know How AGILE was born and what it actually meant by adopting AGILE in Software Development.
During early 1990's and even until late 2010 ,Most of the Software Projects were implemented using tranditional Waterfall Methodology. I too was part of Waterfall Model Projects where development feels like progressing at slow pace and some used to take 2-3 years for the customers to see the final end Product.Sometimes by the time Application / Product was ready to ship Customers would have had altogether different requirements and they would no longer needed application developed with old requirements..as a result Project goes to scrap mode.
Early 2000 group of 17 software developers informally met and their topic of discussion was how can they speed up software development so that features would reach customers, market early.They all brain stormed over the time they have come up with AGILE MANIFESTO..thats how idea of AGILE was born.It took quite sometime to adopt AGILE worldwide and it evolved over these years.
