UKTV Asian Networking event at BBC Studios?

As recruitment partners as well as allies, we went to?UKTV's first regular Asian Networking event, instigated by commissioner and awesome human Emile Nawagamuwa .??Over 200 Asian people came along to mingle, share and listen to the brilliant panel session hosted by Ranvir Singh and joined by Nasfim Haque, Kully Kaur-Bains , Paul Sng and Farah Qayum .

It was a really special evening - most people told us they had never been in a room - able to talk and share openly - with so many other Asian peers before.? TP feel lucky to work with such genuinely inclusive clients.

Grierson Trust?DocLab 24?

As proud supporters of the?Grierson DocLab scheme, Talented People is always keen to raise a toast to (and eat cheese with) brilliant new talent from under-represented groups who are moving careers, starting their first or honing in something new like archive or editing. Especially when the venue is the gorgeous Picture Shop rooftop where TP celebrated a birthday not so long ago. Thanks Yen Yau , Sylvia Bednarz and the team, plus of course the wonderfully warm and inclusive Mark Wynter .

We are looking forward to running our CV sessions and 'how to stand out from the crowd' workshops with the new cohort after Sheffield DocFest.

FREELANCER HUBS

Birmingham, we did it! Thanks to the good folk of the Mockingbird Cinema , and local?freelancers, TP and Adeel Amini with team TV Mindset ran our first Birmingham Freelancer Hub in May. With 7 locations now across the UK, it's such a good place to get together, receive advice from industry peers and experts, and drink a coffee in good company.
