What went wrong? Could it be that your resume is the problem? You've worked so hard on crafting a perfect summary of yourself and your skills—does your resume actually need work?
In the job market, there are some common mistakes that people make with their resumes that can cost them job opportunities. In this article, we'll share 4 of those mistakes and how to avoid them!
1. Don't include a generic objective statement. It's obvious that you want to get the job for which you're applying, but don't waste space with a general statement about it. Be specific and state a realistic two to three lines.

Don't you want to be real? We have seen almost the same copy-paste professional statements everywhere. You have to learn with time and make improvements in our presentation styles as well!
2. Don't list every job you've ever had. If you have jobs listed on your resume that are not relevant to your current career goal, leave them off of your resume.
3. Don't get too verbose. This is a quick glance at what you've done during your career, so don't write full paragraphs explaining everything in detail.
4. Don't exaggerate or lie about your skills or experience—this is a surefire way to lose the job if you get hired based on false information!
We expect you to start making these basic adjustments to your resume, so when the higher management sees your resume, they won't forget to call you for the final round!
