What a weekend...

Monday morning has come and I usually am thrilled to start the work week... so many people to help with their mortgage needs, peers to see, agents to talk to...

But this morning I am missing the weekend.

Amazing college football games including overtimes, final play victories and more. The weather was beautiful, good food and drink was had, and time spent with loved ones. So today I am longing for just one more day on the weekend. As great as the weekend is, the things I did not do made it even better...

  • I did not watch hour after hour of any news network
  • No conversations were had about government shutdowns, inquiries, prosecutions and the like
  • I did not find hundreds of thousands of dollars and gold bars hidden in my clothes and try to act lie it was normal
  • I was not rude to anyone
  • My Buckeyes won and I was not obnoxious to even a single Notre Dame fan
  • I did not spend all weekend working

The weekend was wonderful... I hope yours was as well. But based upon social media posts I have seen this morning, unfortunately a lot of people are starting Monday off angry about something, in many cases multiple things. I have to ask... what good does being stressed and angry do? It ruins your day, the day of people around you, and is bad for your health. 4 posts in a row were ranting about...

  1. A member of congress going on about someone not complying with a House of Representatives subpoena... while he is 500 days into ignoring one
  2. A call to execute a general, members of Congress, and anyone that provides abortions
  3. Calls for a Senator to be jailed for the cash and gold bars in his closet
  4. Demands for a sitting president to be locked up and executed

The full spectrum... but sadly a spectrum filled with anger. Now I am not taking sides or sharing my views... but I feel sorry for people who woke up this mad about things in the world. Yes, I have my issues with some things as well, but I choose to be happy and look forward to the day. If you are upset because the rapture failed to happen... you are alive and the rest of your life is ahead of you. If you do not believe in the rapture... is it really necessary to insult others for a belief that does not harm you?

I know this... our clients don't care if our team won or lost, if our radical political view came true and what we think of the latest conspiracy theory. They want us to be pleasant to deal with, they want us to help them solve their problems, and they don't want to hear our political or religious views. They just had a weekend, a good one hopefully, and now want to get back to work.

So have a great week... be happy, treat each other well, make some money, pay some bills... the next weekend is only a few days away and I hope it is a good one for all of you/
