What a Week...

Hello to my LinkedIn friends, colleagues, pals and family.

The visceral side of my brain wanted to post a few days ago. The other side suggested I sort out some feelings, emotions and reason. And, here I am.

We've all been through quite a year of changes, and as we all work our way through these challenging times, our personal leadership requires that we make tough, tough, tough decisions. We make these decisions not just with data (though data is critical), but with gut, heart and foresight. We make these decisions understanding the weight, the impact and the benefit. We make these decisions, not in a vacuum, but with much consideration. This is leadership. Not just any leadership - but leadership that delivers the truth, with urgency and candor...and bears the weight of the impact; with an eye on the upside and a vision of outcomes.

I find myself surrounded by partners and a team with passion, drive, focus and the right amount of chutzpah. I am so very thankful for my partners and teams. Each and every one of you.

I find myself supported by leaders...with passion, drive, focus and vision. Leaders who bear the weight of critical decisions, and care deeply. Leaders who not only encourage, but require the lens of authenticity. Leaders who wear that lens and share that lens.

Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends...my Yiddish mamma wishes you likewise.

To my retail pals, we are 16 days until Christmas and 17 days until Kwanzaa. Let's make these days count.

Even more importantly. We are 351 days from Thanksgiving...let's start thinking ahead and getting ready to make the next season, the most amazing season on record.
