What is Wealth?

What is Wealth?

What is Wealth?

Wealth is not about how much money you gather. But, wealth is how much money you keep (not only for yourself). And ultimately, how much money, or resource, you spend helping others, to nurture dreams and grow.

In the year 2017, Bill Gates Spent $300m on Tanzania alone. He spent $3 billion in the same year 2017 to help stop the spread of polio disease. He still pledges to help pay off $76m Nigerian debt, borrowed from Japan to fight against the preventable polio disease.

The question now is: Do you help others with your essence in life, not necessarily money? Do you think you have to be as wealthy as the likes of Gates before you can be of help to others?

Come to think of this. There are million-ways you can richly help others. You can help kindle a dying soul, by being a counselor, giving practicable pieces of advice. Yes, this also is an act of generosity. Giving out a minute little from the meager you have, to help a dying needy won't kill your bank account. It has to do with the mindset, and how you conceive riches and wealth.

You see, the true measure of wealth is an objective measurement.

Without hunger, we lose the value for food. Without wants, riches are useless. And without the needy, there is no understanding for wealthy statuses. Then, you've to make your wealth count by creating direct bearing on the ones in need. Simple calculus of wealth in the society! In a nutshell, being wealthy is relational. You cannot be an island and claim to be wealthy.

You boast to be rich, sorry! That's your own selfish, self-known pride. And, you're just proud of nothing!

You cannot claim to be wealthy without a trace of positive impact on others!
