What are we waiting for, Why not now!

Christmas is soon upon us and with it the New Year. For the many it will be a chance to bring around the opportunity to set new aspirations. Many try to succeed but fail to keep the focus with what they set out to do. How often have you decided to go on a diet, decided to exercise more, work harder or even spend more time with the family and you find that within two weeks you have become distracted and lose focus with what you set out to achieve. 

A challenge put forward to a client this week was the idea of why wait until the New Year to begin the changes you want in your life, why not begin now!! To help you on your way understand a few key features:

  1. Understand what you are actually trying to achieve!
  2.  Ask a simple question; What is my intention?
  3. Ask a simple question; How will one achieve?
  4. Ask a simple question; How does one measure what is succeeding?
  5. Set realistic and attainable targets to effectively achieve the answers to the above

People set themselves up to fail because they fail to actually understand what is expected of the goal or challenge they have set themselves. The feelings of negativity contribute to the loss of what is trying to be achieved and can consequently affect the ability to maintain focus and eventually can be the trigger that leads to fail. So why not begin now take the small steps to understand and begin your New Year today....
