What we should learn from machine learning?

Something new to learn from this....Read complete.

4 days back one of my old friend who is a Machine Learning Developer and Data Scientist suddenly called me in evening.

Friend: Nisarg Bro wssp? I am watching your YouTube videos. So much to learn bro.

Me: Thanks man! How's life?

Friend: Not so good, I mean really sorry for being selfish but I called you for the same thing. I need help Nisarg, I need to know what I'm missing.

Me: Calm down man, chill tell me what's the issue may be I can help!

Friend: Bro, it’s been 3 months and 2 weeks, I have appeared for 18 interviews and still no confirmation from any HR. Almost got selected in 4 companies and then again got a call of rejection. I have lost hope now. Should I quit IT? May be go back to my city and help dad with his business.

Me: First of all calm down you are one of the best ML developers I have met. May be it's just the wrong time or you are getting too exhausted and not giving your best.

Friend: This is the worst experience of my life so many interviews and everyone is asking non relevant questions and every time a different reason to reject. I can't ask for extra money anymore to my dad just to survive here.

Me: Did you crack the pattern? 

Friend: I’m not joking Nisarg, be serious. What patterns, are you out of your mind? 

Me: You are a ML developer right tell me definition of Machine Learning. 

Friend: Now you also want to show me that I am a failure?

Me: Bro, just answer.

Friend: Machine learning is an application of artificial intelligence (AI) that provides systems the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed.

Me: Now focus on the part where “Ability to automatically learn improves with experience” and how do you improve accuracy of your ML model? 

Friend: It improves with more train data which should contain variety of experience and preferably huge amount of data to improve accuracy percentage. 

Me: That’s my answer, now I’ll ask again, did you find any pattern in interviews? 

Friend: Ohhh.... bro let me call you back.

Today evening he called me and told me that he got an offer, not as per his expected salary but at least his desired job and desired location! He called and said only one thing, Thanks for deploying new model bro!

My main objective to share this with you all is, why do you want to quit?
