On July 16 and 17 this year, we witnessed another record-setting Amazon Prime Day. In ecommerce, we like to say you’re only as good as your data, so we looked at a report from Digital Commerce 360 to see what we could learn about the sales summer event.?
1) In the U.S., online retailers had record ecommerce sales outside of Amazon, too.
Over the two-day shopping event, the total of U.S. online retail sales was more than $14 billion, not including Amazon. That’s an 11% year-over-year increase from the previous Amazon Prime Day and the highest ever recorded.?
What can we learn? Customers are always on the hunt for good deals, even outside traditional shopping days. Better yet, maybe Amazon Prime Day has become a traditional shopping day in the U.S.? The Christmas-in-July effect is real.?

To improve performance , you need to optimize your listings, categorize products accurately, keep your listings updated, and streamline your fulfillment process to keep customers happy and save time.?
How do we know this? According to a 2023 survey, the average Feedonomics customer on marketplaces sees increases of 21% in channel revenue, 18% in clicks, and 18% in conversions.?
