What We Have Learned This Week...

Well we've made it to Friday and what strikes me is the feeling of positivity around 'the place'. At Change & Transformation we have all been working at home since Tuesday so it's technically three places, but our regular use of online video tools, virtual workspaces and focused emails has meant that our team collaboration has been really effective, and felt very energetic. The best things to come out of this week for us are:

• The value of conversations - it has been so refreshing catch up with our clients and just finding out what things have been like for them. These connections show how important personal relationships are and how by actively staying in touch we can provide great support to one another;
• We're all in the same boat - this thing has affected everyone, so whether people are in the public, private or charitable sector big adjustments have had to be made, which has helped engender a sense of empathy and understanding that sometimes is missing as we automatically assume the grass is greener on the other side;
• Sharing is caring - we all work hard to develop ideas and products that separate us from the competition, but these last few days it has been brilliant to see people positing tips, offering help and giving stuff away to make things better for everyone. Let's hope this continues...

This is not to say it hasn't been a tough week. Lots of emotions, lots of concern and lots of uncertainty - but ultimately we are approaching the weekend with optimism and excitement and hope that you are too.
