What we get we are not satisfied

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
If is a universal truth that we are never content with what we have. We never will be.. Because as soon as we become stagnant, it will stop progress.. With aspiring to be better, we become better. Its a change. It costs us a lot. But none of us realise that. We'll cross a meadow in such a hurry that we wouldn't stop and smell in the clear air. We'll plant a tree and plant a forest even, but not sit and admire the single rose in bloom or the drop of water making it more beautiful. We'll run behind things that we think will make us happy and never realise that things right next to us can make us smile, like a little bird drinking water..
Because our brains are clogged with thoughts, there is no rest even when we are still... We think its progress to always be doing something. Because if we don't someone else will.. What we have now will become someone else's.. Its competition. Like a circus master running behind us with a whip, and if we stop to breathe, life will run ahead.. We'll be that small lost child who failed in the exam and wondering why everyone's upset even though he tried.. And we'll never be enough. Our life will not be enough. Or worth living.
If you get an object (here what i mean by object is any thing living or dead pertaining to the physical world). Now you may notice that any two bodies with mass attract each other by gravity. Similarly, any object attract us creating the sense of desire in us. If you are satisfied means you have found a mechanism to let off the desire from the object you have. Now that means you are free of 'moha' which is the desire for materialistic objects. It can come only when you learn to sacrifice without reason.
Once you learn to sacrifice, the value of the object in your conscious decreases, it may kill the desire in you and you may get way with object. But that means you are satisfied with nothing basically which is another extreme case like craving for more). So one can either be happy for what they are as one cannot live a moderate life eventually that is life tends to any of the two extreme cases with speed proportional to pace of your life.
When we succeed then the thought that come in mind is it was easy and i must get more than this. As we think that this thing is good then the further thing can be more better and then we go for the better. In case of greed we always want more than what we have in the thinking that this what we have is less than what we can have. So the human being has the mind for more and more always from the evolution of technology to many more we never settled what we had and always went for more I think that different thinking made us what we are today.
What it really means is that humans have developed a nature to have everything. We want more, whatever it may be. Consider a simple example, for instance you like to have ice-cream. A point of time will come when your stomach won't allow you to have it more but you are still not contented. Same is the case with other things. It's just yourself who has to decide what do you like most and how much. Make priorities and live a happy life and be contented.
Because the day you will be satisfied will be the day you will stop working, thinking, to learn something, to desire something, to experience something and will start leading a boring and dull life with no ambition, no aspirations and no purpose. Life is too short to live, to enjoy, why not continue trying different things with the hope of getting more satisfied to enjoy a little bit more? Thanks to the competition and our sense of comparison that keep us driving and motivating, instructing not to stop until you've reached your destination

3 年A real winner is a person who accomplishes what he wants and is satisfied with what he accomplished. If we master our mind and body we are the real winner. A real winner is not different from the Supreme God who also can do and achieve whatever he wants. The important thing is that God only does what the Universe or world really deserves.

3 年Happiness and satisfaction is really a grace from God. In Bhagavat Gita Lord Krishna says that a balance minded person will always be happy and satisfied in all situations of life. If we examine the real life around us we can realize that how true and important is that. Like being simple is not that simple, for most people it's very difficult to be happy and satisfied at all times. Only people with right life experience or knowledge or both of them may get that ability.
