I felt super lucky this week to be visiting friends in the countryside this weekend and waking up to this winter wonderland! What is it about snow that just seems so special? ?
Remember the joy of snow days at school? A rare moment where we had no choice but to give in to the higher power of nature, and say, ‘not today!’ to the everyday comings and goings of life. ?
It was a complete release from all your duties for the day. This big frosty?blanket had descended, cloaking every surface in a layer of softness, muffling the sounds and the movement of everyday life, and you’re in a protected space. Everything is put on hold. Paused. Suspended. And the whole day seems to stretch out in front of you as a complete space of opportunity.
So then what happens? What happens when the things you should do, or have to do, can make way for what you want to do??

It’s like a little pocket of freedom to pause, to play, to enjoy the present moment exactly how you want. So why wait for mother nature to give us the permission to do this?
