What we "don't know" is killing us...
David Gilks
I use neuroscience and ancient wisdom to help individuals discover the one thing that will change everything.
Is it any coincidence that since the 1990's that the prevalence of disease of all sorts has exponentially increased, during the time when biotech has begun to dominate the agricultural industry.
The stats on human health and disease processes is, to say the least, startling and slightly terrifying. We have the largest aging population at any time in history and over 70% will deal with a cancer diagnosis, one in three children will be diagnosed with autism by 2050, and we are rapidly heading towards 50% of the population becoming sterile. And that is just scratching the surface of what has gone sideways by human involvement in the natural processes in an effort to "profit" under the guise of "advancing science" for the betterment of humanity.
Granted, there is much to be grateful for in our modern era, but that should not permit us to put blinders on to the dangerous side-effects of the dissemination of the natural world. Our water supply, our soil health, our food supply, and our air quality have all been damaged horrifically by industry, and there are some amazing souls out there like Dr. Zach Bush, who are courageously showing the science of eco-sustainability for our planet and how it relates directly to the science of our internal health...we are a part of nature!! What kills weeds, kill us....what kills insects...kills us...what ruins our water...ruins us.
It may seem like it to be an overwhelming obstacle to overcome, but we can take powerful steps to ensure that we do better for our personal health and our planetary health.
~ If you cannot afford to eat fully organic then use the following list and choose the best options currently available and do not purchase non-organic foods off the dirty dozen. https://blog.givingassistant.org/dirty-dozen-clean-15-list/. Also, try and buy as much as you can locally, not only supporting your community but also diminishing the risk of extra chemicals in your food supply.
~ Use a probiotic daily. There are over 4 quadrillion type of bacteria, fungi, and viruses that make up who we are as humans in the lining of our alimentary canal (from our mouth to anus) and it is necessary to maintain good gut health if we are to desire good physical health. Using fermented food products as a part of your dietary staple is key in supporting good gut health. This is the keystone to good overall health and disease prevention.
~ Detox. Despite the banal advice from many health care practitioners that we do not need to "detox" as our body does it naturally, our body was never designed to deal with the massive exposure to chemical agents as it has for the past 30 to 40 years. One of the most notorious chemicals in our environment, glyphosate, is a water-soluble chemical commonly found in weed killer. Our planet is 70 water and the human body is approx 70% water...In 1994, some 56.3 million kilograms of glyphosate were used worldwide. By 2014, 825.8 million kilograms of glyphosate were used globally.
Have a voice in this topic. I know there seems to be a never-ending series of topics and causes we can rally against, but if we step back far enough and realize that if we heal our food supply, if we heal our water supply, and take a bit more care our health using some common sense practices which are widely available to all us, we will not only see positive changes in our world during our lifetime, but we will also leave a beautiful legacy for our children and our children's children...
