I was so touched to receive a direct message on how @TestCard had made a real difference to someone's life. It means so much to me as someone who is genuinely passionate and dedicated to making patient lives' easier by making testing and treatment more accessible.

My father had a stroke last year. Since then, he has been bedbound and insistent on living independently. I noticed he was grumpy and aggressive all day, towards carers and family. A friend suggested he may have a Urinary Tract Infection. It hadn't occurred to me because his only visible symptom was being cross.
Being a Sunday meant we were unable to get a GP appointment. Being bedbound also meant that even if the GP surgery was open, getting him there is impossible on my own. I picked up a TestCard from the pharmacy and tested his Urine. The results were positive. I was able to send the results to the GP the following morning and they sent a prescription to the local pharmacy for me to collect.
He was able to be tested and treated without having to leave the comfort of his home, and I was able to get him the treatment he needed without taking time off work or try to get him to the doctor.
