What we do in life echoes for eternity!!

What a great line, a great thought and great self reflection.

Maximus Decimus Meridius spoke those word. The gladiator, My favorite movie of all time.. why? That’s another article and I can’t weep while writing this.

We worry so much about the little things, things that will pass and things that really don’t matter. Even in tough spots it really doesn’t matter, all will pass and you will rise up again!

Ok where am I going with this? Follow this, my second cousin Larry married Linda. Linda is this cool low key person where nothing bothers her but people who are bothered by everything. Think about that, if your freaking she’s freaking running for the door.

She started sending out daily positive messages to 100+ people. I loved it!!! I couldn't wait to read it, some days it made my day!!!

My baby girls started high school and I wanted to continually keep in front of them positive messages as they battled the high school years. So I started sending pictures of positive messages to them because of Linda, they shared them with their friends and their friends friends. 

Texting all those kids was a chore, but worth every minute. 

Ya, I was the cool dad!!! Still am today, I think, maybe, no I'm sure I am...I guess.

What’s the point? 

Those kids who are now juniors in college remember what I did because they tell me, and they remember the positive impact and smiles it brought to their day. I would get texts back “ thank you Mr. Surek I was having a bad day and you made me smile”. “I really needed that today, my math test will be hard but I’ll give it my best”

A simple thing like that had me walking 10 feet off the ground.

What we do in life echoes for eternity!!! How many of those kids will pass messages to their kids to keep them motivated and positive as they go through life.....not because of me.... but because of Linda.
