What we can all see in your business....

And you can't. We all have a blind spot in our businesses and guess what business owner? We can see YOURS clearly. In fact to most of us it stands out like a sore thumb. You see we all have a blind spot in our businesses (keep reading, its okay....I have one too) I ran a presentation at FRESH this week on "Access the power within x 10" and it's understanding that feedback gives us understanding and knowledge to that blind spot.

Oh and if you are the one that wants to just get to the X10 you have missed the whole point my friend! You are standing in the way of your own success. (just saying with love) More about that later.....In other words this article is for you so keep reading.

How do you take on feedback? I find the successful business owners listen, ask questions, take out the emotion, and investigate the feedback. They do not react they simply think about it first. They hit the "pause" button. (Very smart)

Many business owners justify, make excuses, use a drama hook or deflect - even blame others for what systems and processes they themselves have put in place. They self- sabotage and then when things are falling apart rush in and "fix it" saving the day! Wow what a waste of time, energy, money and effort. (Not to mention demotivating for your team) I see many of these types of business owners and no they are not my clients because they have not yet recognised why their businesses are not yet booming. They are too busy blaming everyone and not taking responsibility for their results.

Its the climate, the price is too high, It's hard to make money, We don't have the "right" people, Business is hard work.....I am so busy, etc or any such stuff. This is all just a story about making yourself "feel better" that your business is not yet where you want it. Take note here you are simply not yet taking responsibility for your results.

Once we start seeing the blind spot (often through coaching, personal development or taking and actioning feedback) our businesses really start to grow. In fact I can track over the past 15 years (both in my business and in a business I managed) that every time I did any personal development work the profits in the business multiplied by 10 plus.

How you are in one thing, you are in everything so "riddle me this" business owner....as I am the Joker. You are in your car, you go to change lanes and there is a "beep" from the car (in your blind spot) How do you react?

Do you thank the person (taking responsibility) with a wave OR do you think (or yell) "why the hell are you sitting in my blind spot idiot"?

Feedback is neither good nor bad - it is just feedback right? You see the car is giving you feedback not to have an accident. Your "reaction" to feedback is all about you.

And while there is no quick fix here, as I can lead the horse to water but I can't make him/her drink! What I can do for you however is make the trip to the water....easy, direct, less scary and less expensive making your business results multiply faster x10 plus. Enjoy the training!
