What We All Really Need
When you have something so breakthrough and special - it's hard to define what it is because it doesn't fit into any existing category yet. Does it fall under mental health and wellbeing, protect and safeguarding, security and prevent education, leadership and resilience training?
Yotam Dekel has taken his high-level security skills and applied them to a series of engaging sessions to teach people of all ages new skills.
Every day I'm discovering new terms and programs around the world for keeping people safe. But the truth of the matter is that we need to mix these things together because all the challenges we're facing are interconnected. Kids are depressed because they have to worry about a bunch of things each time they leave the house. They have to worry about serious external threats and threats from within their environment. The parents' wellbeing at work is also impacted in a negative way, knowing that their kids are not happy campers wherever they are. Not to mention the threats and uncertainty the parents are dealing with in their own environment. The world has become more complex and challenging and we need more advanced methods than any single method can provide. We need less knowledge and more moving experiences that teach us better than anything we can learn from a presentation.
Yotam Dekel has taken his high-level security skills and applied them to a series of engaging sessions to teach people of all ages new skills. This is about enhancing our human capacities to create safe environments that are ideal for us to flourish in.?The sessions can be for youngsters or for any brand that wants to boost its team's resilience and leadership skills, while also providing a greater sense of security.
We'll let the kids' testimonials below speak for themselves. Because when teens give your method the stamp of approval with flying colors, you know it will be interesting for everyone -

"The atmosphere in the meeting is safe, so we feel comfortable talking about and sharing all the feelings running through us. The conclusions that come out of the meetings are practical and help in everyday life. The meetings are fascinating. We come back each time with greater desire to absorb more and more information. We've learned how to identify a suspicious person and how to react to the situation, and this gave us a sense of security in today's reality." Two teen girls wrote this together
"I'm getting a lot from this whole process. First of all, I'm learning a lot and getting a wide range of knowledge that I don't see how I could get anywhere else. I'm learning to identify fraudsters and liars, how to recognize cases of assault and terrorist attacks. I'm learning how to deal with humiliation or serious pressure. The second thing is that I'm gaining a lot of confidence. Beyond the knowledge, I feel much more confident in social situations or even when I'm walking down the street. I think one of the main things that contributed is that it wasn't theoretical material or a lecture; I actually went through the process myself and saw the situations with my own eyes and even played some of them. It was a very powerful experience." A teen boy
"First of all the meetings are fun. You meet with the same group of people in each session, share personal things with them, connect with them, and have fun. The second thing is that it's really interesting. The content is very diverse and deals with different topics that can captivate and fascinate anyone. The third thing is the practical part, the practical solutions that the meetings give to problems that are relevant to everyone: from dealing with external dangers such as crooks and attackers, to the most internal things we deal with such as stress, anxiety, jealousy, etc. The sessions are given by a professional of the highest level who has gained vast experience and conveys all his knowledge in a concentrated and concise manner." Well, the thing that excites me the most about the meetings is the fact that we have to surpass ourselves and get out of our comfort zone. With this method we not only learn to deal with pressure, but also how to improve our self-confidence in an experimental and enjoyable way. I personally feel more confident in myself and I also learned to handle situations that are usually more difficult and stressful for me to deal with. I feel that my knowledge and confidence only grows after each meeting. And it's just an amazing experience." A teen boy
