A question for you:
What Miserable part of your Identity, are you in the habit of defending to everyone and to yourself?
What will be possible if you stand up for the part of you that has been silenced and numbed for a very long time?
If it's terrifying, that's good.
We're on the right track.
Is there a worried, angry, and obnoxious person in your head who keeps asking you to believe that you are just NOT ready to be free?
That you are not enough?
Why are you defending that mean voice? What have they given you today?
A hit of dopamine that you are RIGHT to feel "less than." The comfort of not having the desire to grow into your full potential. A free pass to stay unhappy.
How has it been working out?
You are stuck "trying" so hard to let go of the past, the hurt, and the disappointment.
Who is it that CAN'T let it go? Not you.
I am calling you out.
A familiar role has served you exceptionally well in keeping you exactly where you are.
One question: Is it serving your joy and genius?
See what you are defending. Let it be that: A memory, a lesson worth millions—a false "protector" that served your ego.
Are you finding joy in playing that role?
Then: your old Identity must be released from your life if you want to build a new one.
You know that "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and OVER again, expecting a different result." So?
So.
What self-sabotaging "idea of who you are" is your mind defending today?
Know this: Letting go of your old Identity does not NEGATE the value of your past.
It will never make it shameful or meaningless.
It FREES you to learn from it with more patience and a new sense of power in what you can create from this moment on with Purpose, Confidence, and Joy.
Do you accept that you are the only one who can make this choice?
What part of your Identity are you defending today?
