Kia is set to give a UK debut to its electric van range, and has announced its commercial vehicle business here will come under the Professional Business Vans banner.

Vauxhall is making a new GS spec level available with its Vivaro medium van.

The new trim option is available with 145hp or 180hp diesel engines, or with a 136hp EV motor in the Vivaro Electric.

Motor Auction Group to develop new LCV auction centre

Motor Auction Group (MAG) has announced plans to open a new dedicated LCV auction centre in Goole, Yorkshire.

The company said it had bought a five-acre site, and would invest £5 million in creating the centre, due to open in Q1 this year.

New Plus versions of Stellantis compact vans introduced

Stellantis has launched a new Plus trim level for its compact vans – the Citroen Berlingo, Fiat Doblo, Peugeot Partner, and Vauxhall Combo.

Standard equipment with the new mid-range spec includes a 10in touchscreen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity and ‘natural’ voice recognition.

Canoo files for bankruptcy

Electric van manufacturer Canoo has filed for bankruptcy in the United States, and announced that it would immediately cease operations.

The US-based company said this followed unsuccessful efforts to raise funds from foreign investors, and from the US Department of Energy.
