We made double figures with Edition 10 of Take the Lead and we're joined by 4549 subscribers who are all as equally curious about conversations that count in business.?
Please do share this with anyone you feel will take something away and put into action for themselves. By making a start you're already ahead of the pack.
Last week I talked about what the landscape of your online conversations looked like and if your time was being spent building relationships with people you can do business with.
I'm still having fun getting back into conversations with people I've missed - I'll let you know if they've really missed me!
Which leads nicely into the topic of conversation this week in terms of how do you acquire your clients through conversation?
To get you thinking about your conversations, here are a few types to trigger your imagination...
1. Information: to obtain, surface or convey information or understanding of facts (know-what), processes (know-how) or contacts (know-who). To learn from each other.
2. Sense-making: to make sense of something (beyond just obtaining facts), especially a complex issue.
3. Perspectives or viewpoints: to obtain different points of view or gain consensus
4. Change: to challenge and shift someone’s viewpoint or intentions (mine or others’)
5. Ideas: to generate ideas, surface and imagine possibilities
6. Deepening or creation of relationships: to connect with other people, to build relationships
Ultimately, if you're not pocketing a little change from every conversation, you're investing in the wrong conversations.
What sort of conversations are worth your time holding??
Does that align with the time you're spending in your conversations now??
Will you need to change anything?
Then, you need to be keeping a track of those conversations and putting the processes in place to stay in touch at the right time.?Take a moment to consider this and write down any changes so you can put it into action.
We are all striving for growth.
To grow personally.

To grow in business.
To make an impact.
When I got talking to Travis Chappell about how he's grown his business, he surprised me with his story and his leap of faith. He is happiest when he's uncomfortable!
As a podcaster himself, with some 765 episodes under his belt on his Build Your Network show, so to me, this youngster in the podcast world, I was intrigued to learn from him.
The resulting conversation was all around growth in podcasting and how to generate an income from adopting podcasting into our marketing.
But the growth we spoke about isn't what you think.
The marketplace is changing.
The rules are changing.
It's going to get interesting and I'd love to hear what you think about this and if it will influence you towards podcasting, as a host or guest.??
This medium is fast becoming in alignment with PR marketing and Ad Agencies with money being generated at a pace.
This is a warm conversation, with depth and insight from a guy who genuinely wants to level the playing field. Please grab a brew, pin back your ears and take a listen to this latest episode of Making Conversations Count because, my LinkedIn friends, you may hear it here first!
Remember, you never know where a conversation will lead...it's up to you to take the lead.
