What types of components will be affected by the war?
The second half of 2022, MLCC capacitors, resistors, aluminum capacitors, etc. are at risk of disruption.
Over the past two years, the increase in the cost of raw materials and metals has significantly affected the production of electronic components in the consumer electronics and automotive industries.
The conflict in Eastern Europe led to a sharp rise in the prices of nickel and palladium. Paumanok's index of raw materials for passive components has also soared to unknown levels (see chart).
With the volatility of the above upstream key raw materials of nickel, palladium, copper, titanium, aluminum, and iron ore, we?believe that in the second half of 2022, MLCC capacitors, resistors, aluminum capacitors, etc. are at risk of disruption, which may lead to a significant price rise in the components industry.
