What type of post here on LinkedIn will get me clients?
That really is the $10 Million dollar question, isn’t it?? If I had the answer to that question, I’d be rich too!!!
Here’s how I will tackle it…Social Selling (AKA using content to generate inbound leads) is not about a “one size fits all” approach.??
Wait! Don't go!
I really am interested in hearing my prospects (who turn into clients) tell me what they got from my content and why that post made them set up a call with me.
Here are a few examples of posts/comments that have inspired clients to get in touch with me:
My business anniversary post : In this one, I didn’t just celebrate two years since I started Leverage Up, I also used it as an opportunity to ask for help.? For example, one of my projects that I wanted to tackle (and the process is underway!) is revamping my website.? So I asked for help with that project in that post.? A prospect who signed on to be a client told me that it was that post that encouraged him to reach out to me.
“Your comment on ___________’s post was the last straw.”? That one made me chuckle out loud.? That’s how the DM started by a prospect who signed on to be a client.? You see she had seen several recent comments and posts and that one made her send me a DM, we set up a Zoom call and she signed on to be a client a couple weeks later. She recently wrote me a recommendation because she was so happy with her decision.

I NEVER EVER thought that a post about the death of my sister would have led to a client.? That’s what happened in a roundabout way.? Someone sent me a DM about my post on the anniversary of the death of my sister, saying she could relate on multiple levels (it was scary how much our stories intersected). Weeks after we exchanged DMs, her husband set up a call with me.? He knew that he needed to step up his LinkedIn game, and he knew his company needed to as well. He’s happy he found me here and so is his boss. The process is underway for getting his company to Leverage Up!
“I’ve been following you for a while...”? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that one at the start of a Zoom call with a prospect.
It really is fulfilling in multiple ways because when you create content on LinkedIn, you NEVER KNOW who is seeing it.
The more people see who you are and what you're all about, the more they will get to know, like and trust you. Consistently posting, consistently commenting, consistently showing up as you (not a fake version of you), consistently providing a profile that tells people exactly what you do...all of this combine to be the magic formula.
It's a marathon not a sprint. ?All of this helps you cross the finish line every single time.??
Do you want to see more of me? Fantastic! Here are a few things to do to make it happen!
Thank you!

2 年It's not like Richard Gere will connect and say "I loved what you wrote about Pretty Woman." I also have an American Gigolo article. The scene at the beginning where he visits his recruiter and two women are topless sunbathing on the deck (they are European so it is not strange) made me wonder if this was what working life would be like. Alas, it is not. If you don't post or comment how will you meet anyone new?
