The 10 question How Saucy Are You? Test, measures how potentially ‘out of control’ your relationship is with booze and gives you a score between 0 and 100% ‘out of control’.
The Test allows you to step outside yourself and see your drinking habit from a different perspective. It can help you to learn how to manage your relationship with alcohol as it’s a lot easier to deal with the problem if you know what you are up against.
By taking the test you can find out if you are an ‘Occasional Drinker’, a ‘Light Regular Drinker’, a ‘Regular Drinker’, a ‘Serious Drinker’ or a ‘Heavy Drinker’.
If you have already stopped drinking, take the test twice – first, answer the questions as if you were still drinking; and second, answer them based on how you feel today - and see how much you have changed. I now score 0% as I am 100% teetotal and have not drunk for over 2 years. However, I scored 64% when I used to drink, putting me firmly in the ‘drinking way too much’ end of the spectrum. Something had to change and it did!
According to Alcohol Change UK, 24% of adults in England and Scotland regularly drink over the Chief Medical Officer’s low-risk guidelines and 27% of drinkers in Great Britain binge drink on their heaviest drinking days. In the UK alone there are around 30 million drinkers, many of whom have no idea of the serious damage alcohol causes. Alcohol can make us deluded. You might think you are in control of your drinking, when the reality is that you are on the brink of it developing into a serious health problem.
