I’m often asked:
Shabsai, why do our health insurance costs keep going up?
It’s a great question, and there’s a reason you don’t have a clear answer.
You’ve been led to believe that it’s an uncontrollable cost.? It’s going to continue increasing year after year.? There’s nothing you can do about it.

1. Your health insurance company’s goals are not aligned with yours.
Simply put, your premium is their revenue.? They have shareholders demanding profit so there is no incentive to lower your costs.? They’re in business to make money.
All you have to do is look at United Healthcare’s stock performance for proof.? Since 2010, UnitedHealth Group’s stock price has increased over 1,400%.? Need I say more?
2. The healthcare system’s goals are not aligned with yours.
Consider this… $0.27 of every $1.00 a hospital is paid goes to physicians and care practitioners.? Instead, the vast majority of what you and I pay goes towards the healthcare facility’s overhead, including executive salaries and bonuses.
Is it any surprise so many new healthcare facilities are popping up everywhere?? Like your health insurance company, the healthcare system is in business to make money.? Your insurance claims are their revenue.
In future articles, you’re going to learn how to fix it, you’re going to learn how to beat “the system”.? However, it’s important to understand why you’re dealing with this problem in the first place.
The more you know, the better result you can create.? To get the control you must want control.
