What Is True Happiness?

People always wonder what can make them truly happy - forever and ever. They chase riches, status, sex but it's never enough. They feel emptiness inside and they keep trying to desperately fill that black void inside of them. Some of them go to ashrams or Buddhist temples to sit in silence and search for truth and again, for true happiness. What doesn't occur to them in their wild goose chase is to stop completely, close their outer and inner eyesight, and be inwardly silent even for a minute a day and listen, listen to the seashell that lives in a hidden place inside of them, listen intently to its whooshing sounds. Those who decide to do just so, might hear something that can bring them true happiness. It's a soothing all-enveloping very quiet voice that whispers to them 'think of yourself as worthy, love yourself, take care of yourself'. Those who listen to this gem of the voice, achieve true happiness. The secret of the universe is to believe what the inner voice says with complete abandon and never doubt its inner essence. You always have yourself, no matter what. Enjoy your own company and others will too. For many the quest for true happiness continues...
