What is True CV?

CV is popularly known as Curriculum Vitae and it means the course of your life; what you have been doing with your life. Every part of your life is your life, not just your educational history. So, it is very important to know that your life is more than the schools you have attended; what about the places you have been, the people you have met and even the things you know. Although your CV is not meant to be a story book and that is where skill is needed for you to know how to present your course of life in such way that can reflect the energy your life bears.

You are familiar with that document called CV, everyone around is sending it to someone in order to get one job or the other. But clearly as it stands, we have too many CVs out there that are liars than the ones that are true. You ask what do I mean? You surely have an idea of how people claim abilities they don’t have to be their experience on paper. And some were really smart that they had their way and got the job, but the quality of products and services today from industries that have fallen prey to this menace puts our society on the edge.

It is a campaign, not just about knowledge sharing. We need to say, NO!, to false CVs and give room to True CVs. If you are afraid that you won’t get the job, get what you need to put away the fear; you need to Keep FIT!

Have you ever sincerely sat down and think about the course of your life; the path you have taken to get to where you are, or even where it is taking you to? Your CV is not meant for job search, it is necessary for self-evaluation. Your CV is your Curriculum Vitae, but your True CV is more than that; it is your Character and Value.

What is your character? It is who you are without fear or favour of people, place and time. Your value? This is the brand with which you sell your character.

A lot of people complain about their CV, little did they realise that complaining is not a good True CV, and that spoils the whole show. The life in your CV is your True CV; if the True CV is not there, the CV is dead.

I have an unwavering perspective that if we have enough True CVs in town, the town will not be down. You can copy and paste your favourite CV sample, but you cannot copy and paste a True CV; you have to own your own. You cannot give what you don’t have, yet it does not take too much time to get what you need when you are intentionally ready.
