What trends do we observe in HR Technology in the 2nd half of 2022?

All over the World, Work Agencies and HR Departments struggle with the demanding task of acquiring a competent, highly qualified worker (employee) for their employers. According to results of a questionnaire done for the Willis Towers Watson, 73% of employers have serious difficulties with acquiring competent employees. Comparing it to results of the same questionnaire from the year before, which indicated that only 26% of employers had such a difficulty in previous years. In the time of global migration around Europe - also severely caused by the War in Ukraine - the challenge of acquiring a suitable, skilled worker still remains…

In the last decade, we can observe tremendous changes on the labor market. Those changes are pointed out by Radoslaw Galka, the CEO of Poland Workforce Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. and Dig In Vision Sp. z o.o. in the interview for “Business Insider” titled “Technology as a chance for Global Peace”.

The future of HR is modernization of technology. Above all, the HR must meet growing demands of business and its employees. We have services available in the Cloud or Cloud-like solutions, intelligent automatization, along with social media and mobility provided for and by mobile devices. Proper approach to technology will make communication and workforce work more smoothly.

What trends do we observe in HR Technology in the 2nd half of 2022?

According to IEEE Global Study, technological changes involve AI and machine learning (21%) and data processing (20%) like: network encryption, where employees and firms may safely share information for recruitment purposes, recruitment verification of personal data etc. We are talking about the standardization,? and security in trusted management on Big Data of Personal or Not-public information. The use of Virtual or Augmented Reality in HR processes is just beginning, but has a huge influence on recruitment, onboarding, training and creation of Virtual Work Environments.

Due to bigger availability and better accessibility of VR equipment and hardware, but also due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for communication, remote verification of skills of future employees makes such solutions and systems more and more important and significant in HR.

Currently, there are dozens of VR sets available for purchase to use by employers and employees. For e.g. Accenture bought 60,000 VR sets for the purpose of training, and the Bank of America is implementing the VR training program in almost 4,300 of their branches and offices in various locations. Companies like Microsoft and META (formerly: Facebook), are constantly creating infrastructure which will make VR environments more real and current then ever.

VR is different from Augmented Reality (AR), although both often complement each other. VR gives the impression of 3D with the use of designated, specially designed goggles, while AR overlays 3D data on the actual real object. So, for e.g. on our real desk in front of us we can see a virtual sleeping tiger. Both inventions boost the metaverse in different fields, like: e-Commerce, Science or Entertainment. WE focus on those solutions that assist and ease the life of HR.

VR FOR SKILLS VERIFICATION OF WORKERS AND EMPLOYEES

VR may allow or assist with the verification process of work candidates by simulating tasks and testing skills required for future work or profession. Just as Mr. Radoslaw Galka says in his “Business Insider” interview:

What has changed, in the last few years, is the approach of many employers towards investment in cadre or workers. Currently, a deeper, much more detailed analysis of candidates' skills is performed, especially in professions that require documentation, certification and confirmation of completed courses. In this case, the Welding profession is a perfect example. Welders, who express their interest in working in the EU, must not only submit their certification, but also pass evaluation and practical tests that check the quality of their welds. Recruiting or hiring companies are ready to pay huge sums of money for professionals and strictly avoid amateurs, who can’t present the proper level of skills proficiency. Initially, we have uploaded CVs of our candidates along with photo documentation of their welds. Later, we introduced short videos with their welding processes. This was met with general approval of our partners. However, due to the COVID-19, accompanied by severe lockdowns and the necessity to increase expenses for steel and materials for presentations, we decided to take a step even further and started the true revolution with the use of VR”.
