You know how at some point in the year you’ll get asked to go solve a big problem.?And the problem seems so big that you not only have a challenge figuring out the solution, but you also have to make sure you get the good folks, who you know will disagree, on board with your solution.
Then there’s the issue of how to present your findings. Write a paper, which most people, won’t read or will misinterpret; or you could do yet another PowerPoint presentation.?Now I know the subscribers to this newsletter would never ‘read’ a PowerPoint, or use hundreds of animations to annoy their audience…but seemingly some people do.
A better alternative is the ‘systems picture’ a one page picture that describes the problem visually with data embedded, which also clearly suggests the direction of the solution.

As ever questions or comments welcome.
PS The script for this one took 3 days, filming 4 hours, editing another 3 days, I hope you forgive me therefore that it lasts 10 min and 52 seconds!?Enjoy.
