What time is it?

Reference texts: Ecclesiastes 3:1-11, 2 Peter 3:8

I look at my watch, phone, and clock so many times during a 24-hour period, frequently checking the time.? I have multiple schedules that I use to set goals to achieve at the desired intervals.? My time is unique to me and will most likely be different than someone else’s time.? I’m reminded daily that my time is also different than God’s time.

I believe Solomon is the author who wrote about time in the Bible book of Ecclesiastes.? He gives a partial list of extremes that highlights the variety and severity of actions and emotions.? He beautifully concludes his wise points by stating that God has made everything suitable for its time.? And by everything, Solomon alludes to everything under the sun, regardless of how big or small.

If you’re like me, you may be waiting on God for something.? Peter tells us in his second letter that one day is like a thousand years with the Lord, and a thousand years are like one day.? We cannot put God in a box, nor can we put Him on a schedule.? He’s too big to be contained and too sovereign to be constrained by time or anything else.? My challenge to myself and to you is to trust God’s time and His way while we wait.? He’s good at what He does and knows when to do it.

The Lord bless you and keep you.? The Lord make His face shine upon you.? The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.? ?- Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV
