what if there's nothing to fix?
My brain is super foggy today.?
In the past, I’d think to myself: what is wrong with me? How do I fix this??
Lately?—?today?—?my response is: nothing is wrong, there is nothing to fix.
In the past, an inner critic with perfectionist tendencies would shrug at such a statement, shouting: “complacency!”?
Lately?—?today?—?this just seems like a more pragmatic and compassionate position that allows me to feel OK and move forward.?
Today I happen to have a little less to give, this doesn’t make me comparatively inferior the most recent and more productive version of myself?—?no, it just makes me human.?
I’m certain that on many days in the future, I’ll have more to give. This fortuitous burst in energy, too, is a part of being human.?
It all has a way of balancing out in the end.?
If you’re having a challenging day, you might have a similar conclusion that there is something wrong with you that needs fixing.?

But what if, at least some of the time, the correct and totally sane answer is: you’re fine, there’s nothing to fix here??
Do what you can, drink plenty of water, don’t forget to eat, and go to sleep. The next day is a new day.
You’re good, things will be okay.?
