What Technologies Can India Expect in the Next 20 Years?

An answer to this question may vary from one person to another. I can answer this question from my perspective. Thorough scrutiny of the current IT industry has led me to a conclusion. I have found some technologies, which would be relevant in the next 20 years.

Let me share a list of the technologies I believe to be the dominating forces for current and future Indian IT industry:

Internet of Things or IoT

I’ve gone through a survey conducted by Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard which stated that around 86% of the respondents are eager to increase their IoT expenses over the next few years. Even I’ve witnessed this emergence of IoT in Indian IT companies.

Artificial Intelligence & Robotics

The emergence of Artificial Intelligence has started from the last decade and still it is going on. Having passive operational power and storage, AI can help us implement our business strategies in a way that no other technology can do. It is the blessing of AI that we are getting self-driving cars, robotics, new teaching methods, even personalized medicines. That’s why AI is going to be a ruling technology in the coming years.

Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality or AR is not any more an imagination. These days AR is available on smartphones. 

It means now AR can help the businesses reach their target audience more quickly. This is the reason AR is getting so much popularity these days and it will be continuously increasing in the coming years.
