As we prepare for 2024’s final chapter this month, leaders are already strategising the next phase of technology in business, facing it head-on with new challenges and opportunities. Given how AI is changing the way organisations across industries inculcate tech in their operations, and underscoring solutions for new hurdles in an ever-evolving threat landscape, we tried to understand exactly what business leaders are looking to revamp next year in our interactions last fortnight.
To understand more about the financial services industry’s tech-forward approach in Indonesia, we spoke with Edy Salim, Chief Technology Officer at Akulaku Indonesia, who shed light on the next chapter of tech in the company's story, among various interesting insights.
Edy shared some valuable advice for tech leaders, as they build their strategies for tomorrow, and said, “Embrace innovation with a clear strategic vision but remain grounded in the fundamentals of operational resilience. The adoption of emerging technologies, such as AI, should always align with solving real-world challenges and delivering tangible value to customers.”
To decode new cybersecurity trends and receive leadership advice for how to prepare for the unknown, in a new edition of our Know Your CISO series, we talked with Virag Thakkar, Global Head - Cybersecurity, Thai Union Group PCL. Based out of Thailand, he deliberated on his learnings from over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, information security, and risk management, and shared how his journey in the industry has prepared him to face the uncertain future with resilience and grit.
As key advice for emerging leaders, Virag shared, “Embrace curiosity, continuously challenge the status quo, and be prepared to learn and adapt as cybersecurity is constantly evolving.”
Additionally, in a rapid fire interview as part of our special Spotlight series, we speak to Nicolo Sanchez, who is a Customer Experience Group Head at Megaworld Corporation. He shared his quick thoughts on CX, the most promising thing about the CX landscape in the Philippines, and best piece of advice he has received!
We hope this thirty-fourth edition of CIO Watch helps you stay at the forefront of all the developments in the field of enterprise tech.
