What IF... A Tale of Hypothetical Realities in the Aftermath of October 7th:

The entire Western world blindly adopted the Israeli argument that “Israel has the right to defend itself in the wake of the attack of Hamas on the southern parts of Israel on October the 7th. This argument is based on the rationale of “what would you do if you were attacked in this manner? Do you really expect Israel not to react, nor to defend its citizens?”.
Building on this argument and on this basis, expand your imaginations and let us try to portray a scenario that is even worse than what happened on October 7th:
What If Hamas troops/ groups/ fighters/ “terrorists” as called by every single official, have remained in this area that they attacked?
What If, the first thing they do, is to cut it from the rest of Israel, and from within? As in, putting checkpoints, with heavy surveillance, and stopping people from moving, unless by severe military control?
What if those checkpoints are so severe, that an Israeli pregnant woman who lives in Sderot, went into labor, and the only hospital is in Ashkelon? But the Hamas “terrorists” are so brutal that they wouldn’t let her cross, so she had to deliver her baby on the road, at the checkpoint.
What if, Hamas started immediately transferring the “civil” population of Gaza into the houses of those Israelis who fled their homes on October 7th?
What if -to maintain security and law and order- as stated, Hamas declared the entire zone a “closed military area”, where all acts, movements, economic activities, infrastructure, natural resources, and the civil registry must have special permits from a unit that Hamas just created to handle the civil affairs of these Israelis?
What If Hamas, immediately started building homes for people from Gaza between Netivot and Ofakim, between Yad Mordakhai and Zekim?

"What if the courageous Israelis rebel against Hamas? Hamas subjects them to military trials, but based on 'intelligence,' some are detained without trial. Let's call it "Administrative detention."
?"What if, despite this oppression and the military control imposed by Hamas, some managed to attack troops and the newly settled 'civil population'? In response, Hamas, as a terror entity, used excessive force, killing anyone who gestured or had a breakdown at a Hamas checkpoint. They claimed it was to 'protect their forces and citizens' in the land that was once theirs."
"What if Hamas labels these brave Israeli fighters as 'terrorists' and implements a policy where anyone attacking a Hamas-related target, specifically the 'civil' population in those areas, results in the demolition of the attackers' family homes?"
What if Hamas, as a terrorist entity, starts arresting children, and women, and even adopts laws within Gaza that allow putting children into military adult trials? And refuses to release the dying prisoners?
What if this situation lasts until the year 2079? And in October 2079, a group of these Israelis, after 56 years of suffering this brutal military Hamas rule, managed to train themselves, and launch an attack against those barbaric Palestinians and Hamas terrorists in both, their own areas, and they even went into the borders of Gaza. Would they be terrorists? Or freedom fighters? Would Hamas have the right to defend itself? In the same manner that Israel has the right to defend itself now.
I mean just what if?
Yes, stating the obvious; the above fictional scenario is not that fictional, it started in 1967 when Israeli troops occupied the West Bank including East Jerusalem and Gaza. ?If the counterargument is about pre-October 7th, add another “what if” Hamas bases its argument on the fact that those who moved in, are the descendants of the indigenous Palestinian population moving back to their ancestors’ land.
"If any of the above cases seem exaggerated, don't solely rely on this Palestinian perspective, as it might be perceived as self-biased. Instead, refer to Israeli human rights organizations like Btselem and Breaking the Silence for more insights."
And if those are not credible enough, check what International Human Rights organizations such as Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and UN bodies have to say.
A final note, indeed; “nothing justifies the killing of children”. I would add; that a child is a child, a human being is a human being, and no human life is worth more or less than another. Military oppression is never the answer. Only equal human rights, the right to freedom, the right of self-determination, and the right to live, and prosper in peace and security for every single human, is the only viable and sustainable answer.
