What is a product life cycle?

The product life cycle is the length of time from when a product is introduced to the consumer market up until it declines or is no longer being sold. This cycle can be broken up into different stages, including—development, introduction, growth, maturity, saturation, and decline. The life cycle of a product is typically used to determine when it’s appropriate to increase advertising, adjust pricing, explore new markets, redesign packaging and even adjust your messaging.?

As a VP of Product Management at Replicon, reporting to the Head of Products and will lead a team of Product Managers, UX Designers and UX Writers. As the VP of Product Management, you will act as a key member of the leadership team and be responsible for ensuring the execution of product strategy. As the primary interface between PMs, Design and Engineering teams, you will scale the product team while leading and shaping the vision and direction of the Replicon’s cutting-edge products and services. You will take ownership of product design and development while working closely with PMs, Design Engineering, and data science teams to scope, plan, and execute the company’s product initiatives. The VP of Product will provide operational leadership while coaching and developing product management talent.

?You have:

• 15+ years of Progressive Product Management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in Enterprise B2B / Cloud based software systems.
• Demonstrated success in defining product strategy and establishing a clear set of product principles and guidelines
• Demonstrated success leading and growing a large team of product managers and senior product leaders
• Organizational leadership ability with strong relationship management skills across a wide variety of audiences including executive management
• A decisive leader with executive presence
• Strong technical skills to partner effectively with engineering
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and executive team
• Very strong written communication and presentation skills
• Analytical and inquisitive nature, with excellent attention to detail
• Bachelor’s in technology is preferred with an MBA is desirable

What you’ll do:

• Lead a team of Product Managers and Designers to rapidly empathize, ideate, prototype and test features based on the user needs defined in the roadmap.
• Build and scale an incredible Product Management team and processes to deliver products that add significant value to our customers
• Engage with the executives within Replicon and with Engineering teams to execute the product vision, strategy and roadmap
• Create and own the product roadmap, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes throughout the company
• Effectively communicate the roadmap with C-level staff, customers, prospects, and all other relevant stakeholders
• Become the #1 evangelist of our Product and participate in press activities, conferences, and discussions with thought leaders and market analysts
• Partner closely with multiple engineering teams across multiple geographies to plan and deliver the product roadmap
• Collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Implementation Services to ensure a well aligned, well understood, and successfully deployed product roadmap
• Partner closely with Product Marketing to create, monitor and manage strategic marketing plans for each product or product lines.
• Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action
• Create annual and quarterly plans for your function. Clearly document and communicate Objectives, Strategies and Metrics, annually and quarterly
• Measure and drive success. Closely monitor, measure, and interpret key Product Management KPIs; be a metrics driven Product leader
