What it takes to face adversity and build resilience.....
Tragedy is a fact of life. Even people who have “leaned in” and done everything possible to take control of their lives get smacked in the face. Things are bound to happen; good or bad phase will come, we should know how to value the wonderful moments in life -- and how to persevere in difficult times.
People with resilience have a greater sense of control over their lives, says psychologist Robert Brooks, PhD. That makes them more willing to take risks.
“Also, because of their optimistic outlook, they are more likely to develop and maintain positive relationships with others,” as well as live more meaningful lives,
I learned resilience from the circumstance faced in life, when too many obstacles were there I started saying myself “this too shall pass”, it makes me remember the quote from the movie 3idiots “ALLL is well”.
This too shall pass,” doesn’t mean that the problem, feelings or situation will magically disappear. Rather, it can lead to a very reflective thought process that helps you find inner strength to address the challenge at hand or simply continue to put one foot in front of the other.
We have to find continuous solutions to the challenges what we face in life.
