What will it take to make EVs mainstream?
In many countries EVs are still only being purchased by early adopters – and they are willing to put up with inconveniences that mainstream customers will not, including the?hassle of charging. We asked more than 1000 current EV owners and non-EV owners who are considering going electric about their experiences and what they want in a new EV. One thing that all customers, all generations could agree on is?wireless charging. In fact, wireless charging tops the list of desired features – exceeding other, more common features such as park assist, performance, and top-of-the line audio systems.?Looking at all the results, it’s clear that the industry can do more to address the challenges of the plug.
