WHAT IS SUCCESS TO YOU?
What is success to you? Is it hitting that 15th sale this month? Is it making more money than last year? Or is it being recognized as an authority in your field? Maybe having a tone of clients pleased with the work you do?
Sometimes success can even be defined simply as enjoying your life, finding pleasure in your job and being proud of your accomplishments.
If you ask a hundred people what they imagine when they think of success, you will get a hundred different answers - and that is the beauty of learning new perspectives.
Very often, we encounter a very narrow vision of success, which limits it down to financial gain. If I didn't make 20% more money than last year, I would not be a successful businessman. Sounds familiar? This thought was often in my head as well, but as I grew professionally and matured as a person, I realized that having that mindset is wrong on so many levels. For example, you can have a very successful year in terms of gaining new clients, closing amazing business deals and earning a great profit. Still, in the same year, you decide to grow your team, buy new equipment, invest in education or new software - and your bank account will suddenly look much smaller. Does this mean your year was unsuccessful? I would argue differently.
It all comes down to what your definition of success is - if you measure it only by the number of zeros on your account or by the number of luxury cars in your garage - you will never find great joy in your career because it will simply never be enough.
I don't view success as a particular point in time that you should reach - and at that moment, everything will line up and be perfect, but more as a state of mind. If I can wake up every day and find pleasure in my work, relationships, friendships and meaningful connections with people, I think of myself as successful. If, on top of that, I have the freedom to create my own schedule, choose the projects I work on and build partnerships with amazing professionals from around the world, I can't think of greater success.
Don't get me wrong; money should definitely be a part of the equation - just not the only factor. Financial success brings you the freedom to do what you love, choose your business partners carefully and focus on what is really important - staying true to yourself and not worry about where your next paycheck is coming from.
To sum it up - financial growth indeed allows you more freedom and space for creativity, but real success comes in the form of inner gratitude, peace of mind and a sense of pride in the work you do every single day.

4 年Complete agree wit you Filip Zolota , Money and your worth is not the measurement of success , if it so then you can't never be satisfied, sucess is about your mindset , your satisfaction and about the way you think, sucess is for you like you decided that this week you will do the deadlift of 100kg and 5 reps and when you accomplished it , it's your sucess , you should enjoy it that you have accomplished your goal. So, basically is not something to other to show. If it so and depends on another then you can never be satisfied.

4 年You described a mindset which every person in business should have. Agree 100%. I would add that sense of belonging is the key. We know that only constant thing in business are relationships. If you have people around yourself who support your long-term goals then I would say you are a successful. At least in my book.
