What is Stopping You from Achieving Your Best Season?

What is Stopping You from Achieving Your Best Season?

I enjoy the various seasons throughout the year, and I like them for different reasons. We are about to embark on Fall, also known as Autumn, which symbolizes change. Fall can mean many things to different people, but it represents harvest time, where we reap the rewards from the hard work we put in the seasons prior. It also represents maturity.? Those of us in the “fall” season of our lives have gone through many lessons to reach maturity and hopefully acquired some wisdom along the way. Part of that wisdom is learning when to let some things go that no longer serve us well and block us from becoming our best selves. To keep growing, we have to allow new things to blossom in our lives; we must make the necessary changes, shift our mindset if required, and be open to new possibilities. What is stopping you from enjoying the season you are currently experiencing while preparing yourself to move forward to the next one?? Do not let the vines and twigs of life hold you so tight you cannot bring yourself to cut them loose before you become so entangled and you do not know how to get out and grow.?

Life has a way of distracting us while we are on our journey. We love the beautiful colors of fall, such as gold, amber, and even brown, so that we take our eyes off the ball of what we need to focus on.? It is good to enjoy what each season in your life brings or represents, but you should not allow it to make you complacent in staying steadfast to accomplish the goals you have set for yourself and achieve your best season. Some of you reading this may say, Wendy, I am experiencing my best season right now. What I would say to you is excellent, but that does not mean you should not stretch yourself to see what else is still out there for you to achieve, contribute, or help build.? No matter what stage of life or season we may be in, we still have more to give, even if it is encouraging someone else along their journey. Your wisdom can help another person coming behind or alongside you from stepping on a land mind. Are you willing to get a little uncomfortable in your best season to help others achieve their best?

Change can be scary, and no one likes being uncomfortable, but to achieve our best, sometimes we must get a little uncomfortable. Many of us have been our own worst enemy when it comes to really being our best.? We limit our capabilities, we stop as soon as we have a roadblock, and we also sometimes blame others for our lack of achievement. When I write my articles, much of what I share is from personal experience.? I just experienced another year around the sun, and I am grateful for all that God continues to do in my life, but I know what it feels like to question oneself on what is next. Can I achieve more, especially as I get older? Do people really care what I have to say? The answer is yes.? However, we must believe in ourselves for others to believe in us.? Do not get in your own way about how you feel about yourself; if it is not positive, it is never too late to turn things around and experience your best season.

To achieve your best season or your best self it must start with defining your win or what really matters to you.? Take each day as it comes and do your best to fulfill your purpose for that day. Sometimes when we look too far down the road it can become daunting, just focus on today and keep your goals in front of you and if you ever feel confused or turned around, just stop, find your core, and go back to your center. This may mean you need to forgive yourself for somethings you did not get right.? That is okay too.? Just continue to dream big.
