What a Start to 2025! / Hashgraph Q1 2025 Recap

The first quarter of 2025 has been nothing short of remarkable for the Hedera ecosystem. From Davos to Denver, Hedera and Hashgraph have been at the forefront of conversations on decentralized innovation, interoperability, and AI-powered solutions—and we’re just getting started. With so much happening across Hashgraph, Hedera, and the wider ecosystem, it’s hard to name just a few highlights, but here are some standout moments from an action-packed start to the year.

Davos 2025 – Pioneering the Future of Blockchain & AI

The year began at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, where I had the privilege of engaging with inspirational thought leaders shaping the future of blockchain, AI, and digital transformation. As part of these discussions, I joined DWeb Decoded to explore Hedera’s latest innovations in DLT—including AI integration, enterprise adoption, and sustainability initiatives.?

One key milestone for Hedera at Davos was its partnership announcement with DAIS - Decentralized AI Society —a major step toward building a trust layer for AI using the power of decentralized ledger technology. As part of this collaboration, Hedera will help shape global standards for decentralized AI, prioritizing interoperability, privacy, and ethical governance.?

HederaCon 2025–One for the History Books?

On February 25, Hedera’s first user conference since 2018 took place in Denver— HederaCon 2025. With 600+ industry innovators and leaders in attendance, the event provided a deep dive into the future of tokenization, AI, crypto policy, interoperability, and more.?

I had the privilege of moderating the panel “How Interoperability Will Unlock the Future,” where we discussed how top projects are breaking down silos in the blockchain ecosystem. A big thank you to the panelists— David Hawig from Web3 Foundation , Simonas Baksys from LayerZero Labs , Maghnus Mareneck from Interchain Foundation , and James Friel from Axelar Network —for an engaging and thought-provoking conversation!
