Hello and welcome to the October edition of the SLG Agency newsletter.

As it’s Halloween, it’s an ideal time to think about the scariest thing possible. Vampires? Werewolves? Running out of sweets with loads of trick-or-treaters still arriving? All awful, but not as bad as the fear of the unknown.

That’s where construction marketing finds itself, and we’re looking to do something about it with our annual Horizon survey.

Our peers in other markets have a wealth of information available to them to develop their planning, and we think construction marketers deserve the same. We hope you do too, and that you’ll take part. Away from that we’re celebrating our twelve CMA nominations (more than any other agency, don’t you know…), and we’ve included just one of the projects that’s been recognised to conclude this month’s Newsletter. What’s Next for Construction Marketing?


How are things looking for construction marketers in 2025? Who knows?

Well, all things being equal, we’ll find out soon enough by virtue of the fact it’ll soon be 2025 – but wouldn’t it be great to know in advance.

That’s where Horizon comes in. Put simply, no one seemed to be asking construction marketers how they viewed the coming year, so we took it upon ourselves to do just that. Since its launch in 2022, Horizon has gone from strength to strength, and this year promises to be the biggest, and most insightful yet.

We want construction marketing to be taken as seriously as marketing in other disciplines, but we need your help to do so.?Are you up for gazing at the horizon with us?

Every year your input is welcome, but it feels particularly important this year as the sector heads towards better trading conditions in 2025.

CMA Spotlight – Naylor Drainage


Among the ‘runners and riders’ for SLG is our work with Naylor on the launch of its MetroDrain product, a low-carbon drainage system that formed a key component of the business’ net zero strategy.

The campaign was executed through paid social media and search ads, reaching over 193,000 construction professionals and decision-makers. With a 7.2% CTR and over 15,990 clicks, the campaign effectively drove traffic to the dedicated landing page, where users engaged with the carbon calculator and learned about the product’s benefits.
