What is a Special Need When Referring To Someone that is Traveling

Well many people think that means you have a disability like someone who is Legally Blind or Deaf; Someone who is wheelchair bound or scooter user? Well yes these are the types of people that is usually meant to serve.

But this also means, that you possible have a special situation that might not meet one of the reasons above!

These could be related to dietary issues! Such as: Diabetic, High Blood Pressure, Vegan, Kosher, Peanuts, or you are on another diet that the doctor has recommended that you need to watch water or potassium intake. These are special needs that we can help focus on, as well as, others.

Echevarria Travel was started in 2008; because I have special needs. Back in 2001 at the age of 35 I become ill from complications from being a Type 1 Diabetic. I was losing my eye sight and I had to go on dialysis due to the fact that I had lost function of kidneys. I am well now, I had a life saving Kidney Transplant on August 23, 2005 and I will be celebrating 12 years post kidney transplant this year.

But when I was well enough and strong enough and I could do the things I had missed doing like traveling with my family to different places. I needed a travel professional to help me do this, and the only thing that they kept hearing was the word "Blind".

Either they wouldn't help me or insulted me or even gave me the wrong information. I mean I had gone through all my mobility training, learned how to take care of my family again. I wasn't going to let anything stop me from enjoying my life after 5 years of it was taken away by illness. I wanted to celebrate.

I took a really good look at my life, and wondered if others had the same issues. I wanted to do something about this. So, I became a travel professional. Because of my issues like dietary, and mobility related.

We also focus on not just the cruises and the land travel, but we focus on what we can do while traveling. Some have more mobility than others, some don't care and will try anything at least once to realize hey I can do this.

So we focus on the whole person and people that travel. We will the time to work with you on whether you have these issues more or none at all.

We recommend anyone traveling to start planning at least 6 months out. It is not always the best to plan last minute, or get that last minute one of a kind offer, because if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Echevarria Travel services all clients we offer the Land and Sea Vacations, Sports Vacations, Luxury Travel and more. Our services are not cheap, we are economical and when you travel it is a luxury to do so.

We will recommend if you are disabled and yes disabled, and that you cannot travel independently than we cannot help you. You will need someone to assist you on your trip. We don't hire people to do this for you.

See future postings here and on our blog for other services we offer.
