What is the Sound of the Universe?

My formula for greatness in a human being is amor fati (Liebe Zum Schicksal), that one wants nothing to be different, not forward, not backward, not in all eternity. Not merely bear what is necessary, still less conceal it—all idealism is mendacity in the face of what is necessary—but love it...

Some scientists have dared to say that we know little about the universe. 'We have misunderstood the Universe' said Adam Riess recently in respect of the Hubble Tension. Einstein said, 'The basic laws of the universe are simple, but because our senses are limited, we cannot grasp them.'
What have we misunderstood about the universe? What have we understood? How can scientists speak of the Big Bang as the source of creation? Big Bang theory may be a tiny bit better than a bearded man with a hard creating the universe in 6 days and then. going to sleep, but not much. What caused the Big Bang? Did it come from the flatulence of the creator?
?Vedic philosophy of creation is far more scientific. It speaks of an eternal, everlasting energy space constantly expanding. Words used to describe this space were 'Brahman' meaning huge and eternal, 'Vishnu' meaning expanding and 'Shiva' meaning auspicious. These words were not about gods. They arose from the visions the seers had, the same way Einstein spoke of imagination being far more important than knowledge.
According to science, space has 28% as dark matter, which keeps the universe together as an attractive force, and 67% as dark energy, which keeps it expanding as a repulsive force. Vishnu and Shiva work together, even as Brahma creates, and the Brahman expands. Of the remaining 5% of visible energy, humans are a tiny fraction. Even in this minuscular space, we create enough damage that nature may soon cause us to cease and be extinct. As it's known now, Y Chromosomes and male species may become extinct soon. Perhaps, women alone may make the world a better space. However, the energy of the spirit in all species will continue. The energy of the universe will continue eternally, expanding infinitely.
Veda says that the universe was sound. The sound was AUM. AUM represents creation, sustenance and regeneration. The sound was also energy. It was vibration. It was called anahata, the uncreated sound, sound without matter. The Mandukya Upanishad dissects this vibration in 4 parts of awareness. The lowest is sensory mindfulness. The highest is mindfree detachment of selfless acceptance in gratitude engaging all material beings in the universe in meaningful purpose. @ Coacharya, we call this SAGE .
Krishna, the greatest Sage, says in the Bhagavad Gita, 'I created and destroyed all these lives and the world many times before, and will do so again. Do what you have to do. Leave the outcome to me. Accept me. Surrender to me in gratitude. Serve others the way you would like to be served'. Over time this became the stoicism of Epictetus as 'wish what is happening the way it is happening' and Marcus Aurelius, and later 'amor fati' of Nietzsche.
If only we could live our lives remembering that we are mortal, and yet spirit energy isn't, we can disengage from fear and greed, conflict and mass murder in the name of wars. Detached acceptance is not inaction and fatalism. It's the highest form of action in grateful acceptance of the cosmic law and order. Violation of this law and order will result in chaos and extinction, where we are headed now.
Science used to say that there is no sound in space. Here's a clip from NASA on the sound of space. Perhaps soon, the sound you may hear is Anahata, AUM.

Reflection ?
'What was your face before your parents were born' is a Zen Koan. It reminds us of the realisation that we have been there before and perhaps will be there again. As Krishna said, nothing can destroy the energy in us. Einstein reaffirmed it. We may reproduce without men. The world and the universe may be a better place?
In 4 short free sessions, starting 25 March, Monday, we shall discuss what ails us mentally, emotionally and cognitively, and how the wisdom of the ancients can help. There is no trainer or learner here, only learning. I serve as the mouth that speaks as the body function of karmendriya. The gnyana, wisdom, comes from the participants. https://coacharya.com/event/coaching-for-spiritual-leadership-ram-s-ramanathan-march-2024 .
Who knows? It may help!
