What sodium battery can be applied for

Compared with @lithium batteries, @sodium batteries have rich resources, low cost, high safety, and low-temperature performance advantages, such as equipment in the communications industry, starter batteries, UPS, two-wheeled vehicles, as well as electric vehicles and other areas of broad prospects, has become the industry consensus.

But why is it also suitable for the telecommunications industry? I will focus on explaining why sodium batteries are suitable for use in the telecommunications industry.

First of all, we need to understand the components of the communication industry: communication DC power system, solar energy system, generator set, and intelligent management platform(Figure 1)

Benefits:

  1. Wide temperature performance: Because of the material limitations of lithium batteries, many lithium batteries on the market are difficult to charge below 0 ℃, and the charging efficiency of 0 ~ 10 ℃ is only a mere 40% ~ 60%. Although 0 ℃ can be discharged, the discharge efficiency can not be more than 80% discharge. Because of the characteristics of the material, not only can the discharge efficiency below 0℃ reach 90%, but also can be charged below 0℃, and the charging efficiency can reach more than 70%.
  2. Ultra-low discharge platform: The lithium discharge termination platform can be 2.0V or 2.5V, The lower discharge termination voltage platform; does not have to worry about the self-discharge of the battery being too low, it will be on the battery loss as well as reduces the customer's battery maintenance costs.
  3. Nice Price: and more price-conscious customer type is more suitable for the recommended application of sodium power.
  4. Better safety: Sodium electric thermal runaway will be more stable than lithium, and do not have to worry about equipment and products running overheating, or because of the ambient temperature overheating, resulting in battery fire and explosion and damage to the equipment, better protection of the customer's equipment safety.

Of course, sodium batteries even have many advantages, but they also have their disadvantages. In the end, whether it is sodium batteries or lithium batteries. Only according to the specific circumstances of the project, do specific solutions are the most suitable for their own!
