Skill Sets for First Resumes

So if you're a first-time job seeker or even a professional dusting off their resume from a workplace hiatus, you may be relieved by the fact that experience isn't everything when it comes to being considered for an open position.

But here's a pro tip for those putting in the extra effort in crafting their resumes and CVs: you can balance your skill set and highlight its usefulness for a hiring manager when you couple skills in arches of usefulness. For example, adaptability, resourcefulness, and aptitude convey a strong set for not only the ability to learn on the job but also to continue to grow and accept whatever challenges come your way while in the position.

Just remember that pairing your skills with examples of how you've used or gained them is more impactful than simply having them on your resume.
