What skills does a Developer need in the Australian Public Service?

That's what we aim to find out in the first of a series of workshops that will look at every discipline in the digital profession.

This first workshop will explore Solution Engineering, which includes disciplines such as Software Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technology Architecture and more. We are looking for senior practitioners familiar with the APS context who can tell us the skills required in these disciplines.

The aim of these workshops is to refresh and deepen the information we have about all digital roles so that we can give users of APS Career Pathfinder the best and most informed experience possible. We want career seekers to be able to see what skills they may need for the various roles, what it would be like to be in such a role, and what their career prospects from there onward might be.

These workshops are specifically aimed at senior practitioners who can speak authoritatively about the skills required in roles in their discipline in the Australian Public Service. We won't be teaching you about these disciplines... you will be teaching us! Through this, you will be helping us find and grow the talent you will need in your area of speciality in the future.
