What your skill can offer to people in need matters a lot more than dreaming about it.

Remember your friend who’s living comfortably and enjoying their school days?

They have a handicraft skill that’s keeping them sustained in school. But before I continue, here’s a true life story.

Years back after my national youth service, I moved to my mum's house.

Then, I had to run around with my certification looking for suitable jobs.

I didn’t want to bring this up but if you find yourself in this circle of job hunting, you will understand the frustrations I struggled with.

And that’s why I quit job hunting to assist mummy in her catering jobs. From one event to another, I fell in love with it and my mum started putting me through great lessons.

As we were working together, we had more recommendations than when she worked alone.

For some time I started getting gigs for catering services and to be honest I was unsure if I could deliver well but did it and the feedback was amazing.

Since then I believe I can scale anything I love to do without a second doubt.

My point here is that having a mentor who will make the learning process easy for you and see you grow it’s a dream come through for you and your mentor.
