What are the similarities between a health journey and a transformation?

Both are about going from something that works mediocre to making it work extraordinarily, ie beyond the ordinary.

 At the beginning of the year, I started my health journey with The Six Pack Revolution with the ambition of becoming a stronger, more energetic and more mindful Britt. A journey that has until now completely changed me as a person but also my family.

What makes such health trips successful?

  1. You start by defining your extraordinary goal to keep "the end in mind" during the journey.
  2. You start from a clear plan - guidelines about what and when you should eat and how often you should exercise
  3. You follow up the progress and correct along the way - Performance is shown continuously and help is given immediately so that the exercises are performed correctly. All to correct in time and to avoid injuries.
  4. A lot of focus is placed on coaching, feedback & motivation - This is to keep everyone on track and not lose steering speed. The participating group and the coaches act as a motivational engine where you push each other to the extreme to create the extraordinary results.
  5. You make sure to keep Momentum & excitement - Every week is a happening both in the form of food and exercise. New challenges are issued on the assembly line and the requirements are increased every week.
  6. You need to give it time- New habits are not created overnight! Therefore, this program is long.

 For me, the journey has lead to a stronger body and mind. I have not only changed the way I eat and exercise but also the way I look at life.

 What struck me now that I am at the end of this private transformation journey was that this journey is very similar to the journeys I help my clients with. In order to succeed with a transformation, the same parameters as above are required.

  • Clear goal, vision and strategy for the transformation
  • Committed managementteam behind the transformation
  • Coaching and leadership - someone who helps the organization and leaders to hold on and persevere.
  • Planning - a goal without a plan remains just a dream
  • Follow-up & correction and continues improvement
  • Feedback & Motivation
  • Perseverance & patience
  • Momentum & excitement

Of course, this is just a handful of factors for a successful transformation.
