  1. Random aches and pains. This is your body giving you a warning shot.
  2. Lacking energy. You find it difficult to focus and concentrate when you are working, impacting your #productivity.
  3. Poor quality of sleep. Do you lie in bed running through the days work or planning the day ahead? Those who find it difficult to draw boundaries between work and life are at?higher risk of burnout.

  7. Deterioration of relationships. Getting cranky with coworkers and distancing yourself from your loved ones is a sure sign something needs to change.
  8. Falling behind with your personal projects. Waiting for the day when you “have time” to get around to them.
  9. Isolating yourself. Do you often turn down invitations from friends because you are working late (again) or too tired to socialise?
  10. Feeling guilty? You always feel like no matter what you’re doing, you should be doing something else, something more.

Research published by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Labour Organisation found working 55 or more hours per week increased the risk of dying from a stroke by 35% and increased the risk of death from ischemic heart disease by 17%. The same amount of work hours is also associated with a higher risk of anxiety and depression and a decline in physical health.
