“What Should You Do?” Series - “Help, My Team, Failed Again!”

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, I’m going to give you a scenario that might happen (or is currently happening) in your office. I’ll give you four suggestions about what your response should be.

Only one is correct.

First, tell me in the comments section which you think is the correct response.

You are the founder or member of the executive team. You gave an assignment to one of your teams. On the due date, you check in with the team. However, the assigned task is incomplete or done wrong.

Please choose the best way to handle this situation:

1. Ask them why they haven’t finished the project and ask them if they can complete the project right away.?
2. Assign the project to someone else who can get the project done.?
3. Review what “finished” was supposed to look like and ask them how can you communicate with them better in the future.?
4. Do the project yourself.
