What should be paid attention to when refractory fiber is used as lining material?
Topower Refractory
Professional refractory material supplier, providing various refractory materials and solutions.
Refractory fiber and its products have the properties of fire resistance and heat preservation. At the same time, it has the advantages of high temperature resistance, small thermal conductivity, light quality, good seismic resistance, and easy processing molding. For fire -resistant fiber masonry furnace lining can reduce its thickness and reduce the quality of the overall furnace. However, it also has inadequate, such as low strength, being washed by airflow, material friction, and easily damaged when the mechanical collision. When the corrosive medium is directly exposed to the corrosive medium such as slag and molten salt, it is easy to be invaded and loses insulation performance. In addition, the composition of refractory fibers and its products is different, and the range of use is very different. Therefore, when using refractory fiber as a furnace lining material, you should pay attention to the following matters.
(1) High temperature crystallization of refractory fiber. Fiber -resistant fibers will crystallize, density, crispy performance, and shrinking during high temperature use at high temperatures, and will cause fiber powder when severe. Therefore, if the refractory fiber blanket is used for the inner wall of the furnace, the highest working temperature should not be too high.
(2) shrinkage of refractory fiber. Under the action of high temperature loads, the shrinkage rate far exceeds the contraction rate of short -term heating. Therefore, when using refractory fiber, the common role of high temperature and load should be considered at the same time. The safe use temperature of refractory fibers should be lower than the highest working temperature given in standards.

(3) In the control atmosphere, if it contains small molecules such as hydrogen, the hydrogen molecules will continue to seep people in the refractory fiber, thereby increasing its thermal conductivity and increasing the heat dissipation of the furnace lining improve. Therefore, refractory fibers should not be used as a heat treatment furnace lining with hydrogen as the protective atmosphere. If it is necessary, it must increase its thickness.
(4) The strength of refractory fibers is low and cannot be used in places where shocks and wear, such as paving furnace bottom.
(5) When using refractory fiber as a furnace wall, its specific construction methods include: layer paving, stacking method, stickers, and prefabricated block lining method. Which method is used for specific use can be selected according to the actual situation.
